It is hard to believe that we have been serving this beautiful community for over 10 years! Shortly after having my son in 2007 I made a decision that I didn't want to go back to the corporate 9-5 gig of my previous career. I wanted to stay home and take care of my babe but I also knew I wanted to be a part of something else and use my energy and creativity in a way that will make myself happy so I could be the best for my family as well as live my truth and purpose in serving others. Living in this area at that time, there were no local yoga studios and I missed practicing in a studio with community. With a newborn baby, it wasn't easy to just take off to another town, get a babysitter and go spend a few hours doing yoga. That's when the idea of Moksha Yoga Studio started. After many months of dreaming but also dealing with those thoughts of fear and what if it doesn't work out, I decided to move forward and open Wellington's first yoga studio. Moksha was started from the beginning with community in mind and and 10 years later that has not changed. We started small and eventually, years later, the universe pushed us to expand and become what we are today. The fact that we are able to offer all we do with the amazing teachers we have is just wonderful. I feel incredibly grateful and humble to think back on all the memories made, lives inspired, changed and relationships cultivated at our sacred studio. I am so lucky to have the best team of teachers sharing their practice and passion at Moksha as well as an amazing community full of love and support. So thank you all for filling my heart and moving me in more ways than I could possibly express!

In honor of our 10 year anniversary, we are throwing a community Block Party! We would like to invite our Yoga cOMunity to come and join us for this amazing event. We will be offering FREE yoga (with live music) and kids yoga classes, hooping demos, aerial yoga demos, henna, shopping with local vendors, food trucks, vegan deserts, kombucha, juices, celebratory wine and more!
